"Wherever
they went, the Pìvari played and then fled. They
arrived hit towns and villages, courtyards and farmyards and played. Then, suddenly, they ran away. Everyone wondered were they
disappeared. Some said to have
seen the Pìvari vanish like devils and, while watching them
walking away, all at once, they were no more there. Many
said that the Pìvari don’t even have their shadow, and
for this reason they like playing by night. The wisest said that the Pìvari fled because
they can’t stand chats and silence."
